I'm Alex Arda Akyuz, M.S. a Detroit, Michigan, based cybersecurity professional with nearly a decade of IT experience and a Master's degree in Technology Studies with a concentration in Cybersecurity/Information Security Management and graduated with honors from Eastern Michigan University an NSA Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense.I founded CyberFX Secure with one goal in mind: making expert cybersecurity accessible to every small business. My path into cybersecurity wasn't a straight line, and honestly, I think that's an advantage.I'm of Armenian heritage with roots in Istanbul, and I grew up fluent in English, Armenian, and Turkish. Long before I ever touched a firewall, I learned that communication is the thing that actually determines whether trust gets built or broken.That lesson turned out to be just as true in cybersecurity as it was in the rest of my life. The best security in the world does nothing if you can't explain the risk in a way people actually understand and act on.Cybersecurity isn't a destination.
